The conversation concerning a fight between Lafayette Legend, Dustin Poirier, and Conor McGregor has been ongoing for months now. Poirier took to Twitter today to call out the UFC and its commissioner, Dana White, as he is ready to sign a contract and make the fight official.

The Notorious one has accepted a UFC bout against Lafayette native Dustin "The Diamond" Poirier, and wants the fight to be at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Poirier and McGregor have exchanged pleasantries on social media about a fight, and Poirier explained today why he thinks it'll happen.

Recently, talks went down on Twitter between Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor as the both of them agreed to a charity "exhibition" fight. Now, Commissioner Dana White of the UFC has stepped in and offered to make the matchup a UFC official event.

The matchup against Tony Ferguson, which was slated to happen at the end of October, will no longer be happening as the UFC and Poirier could not reach an agreement for the fight.
