July 12, 2012 KATC obtained an incident report earlier today from the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's office indicating that Brandon Scott Lavergne was at a hospital in the area seeking treatment for multiple stab wounds less than 24 hours after Mickey Shunick was last seen.
According to a story in the Daily Advertiser, the search for the missing 22-year-old UL Student, Mickey Shunick, is still underway and it now appears that the search has extended beyond the state boundaries of Louisiana. The Lafayette paper says that since the arrest of Brandon Scott Lavergne, more tips are coming in from people who know the man accused of taking Shunick.
The mother of Brandon Scott Lavergne is speaking out and is now offering her condolences to the entire Shunick family. Brandon Lavergne is currently being held by Lafayette Police in the disappearance of UL student Mickey Shunick. July 6, 2012 KATC has just released audio of Brandon Scott Lavergne as he appeared before a judge earlier today in his first hearing. Lavergne, 33, is currently being held on charges for aggravated kidnapping and first-degree murder in connection with the disappearance of Mickey Shunick.
